Ashok helped with the site building and the drush scripts making it easy for others to jump in and work on the DrupalCamp LA website. And yes, that is his "iPhone" (Nokia 2760, Verizon MiFi, Ipod Touch).

Zaferia Web Works

I've been involved with Drupal Camp LA (DCLA) since 2008, and was the architect of the DCLA website in 2009 which was used again as the basis for the new D7 site this year. The benefits of this architecture allows us to run a barcamp style event with real-time scheduling and capacity management with the professionalism of a Conference. This year I was primarily involved in promotion, logistics and helping new volunteers. My goal for the DCLA has always been to help the community connect, remove cost barriers, and most importantly to help create a high value for participants. The result in the past has been a world class event executed entirely by volunteers that is FREE to attend. DCLA is easily comparable in education and networking as other (non-free) industry conferences, such as Drupalcon or SCaLE.

I have been an active participant in the community from 2009 and believe that this community is one of the most special out there. If I can help you with anything during the camp that would make your experience better do not hesitate to seek me out...
